CRM Manager - iGaming, Sportsbook

Initiate International
South African Rand . ZAR 200,000 - 300,000

Job Description

We are partnering with an established international iGaming and sports betting operator expanding its footprint in the South African market. With a newly formed Cape Town hub, our client is investing in senior, commercially minded talent to build high-performance teams capable of competing at the top end of a highly regulated and fiercely competitive betting landscape.

This CRM Manager role is central to that ambition.

This is not a maintenance position. You will not inherit outdated campaigns or simply manage existing workflows. You will build, own, and evolve the CRM and retention strategy for South Africa - with full accountability for player engagement, loyalty, and revenue performance across Sportsbook and Casino products.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven CRM professional who thrives on ownership, accountability, and measurable impact.

What You Will Do

As CRM Manager, you will lead the end-to-end customer lifecycle strategy, ensuring that player engagement and retention directly contribute to long-term profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute the South African CRM and retention strategy aligned to broader commercial objectives
  • Own the full promotions lifecycle - from ideation and planning through execution, optimisation, and reporting
  • Build and manage a structured bonus and promotions calendar aligned to sporting events, lifecycle stages, and business priorities
  • Design, launch, and optimise multi-channel CRM campaigns across Sportsbook and Casino
  • Leverage segmentation, lifecycle modelling, and personalisation strategies to drive engagement and ROI
  • Analyse campaign performance, customer behaviour, and revenue metrics to generate actionable insights
  • Continuously test, refine, and optimise campaigns to improve DAU, retention, and Net Gaming Revenue
  • Manage CMS setup, campaign testing, and execution to ensure seamless player journeys
  • Ensure all promotional activity remains compliant within a regulated South African market
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sportsbook, Compliance, Analytics, and Customer Support teams
  • Support and mentor CRM and promotions team members as the function scales
All About You

We are looking for a commercially sharp CRM Manager with strong iGaming retention and lifecycle marketing expertise.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in CRM, retention, or promotions within iGaming or sports betting
  • Strong understanding of bonus mechanics, free bets, boosts, and incentive structures across Sportsbook and Casino
  • Hands on experience with CRM platforms, campaign management tools, and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build segmentation, lifecycle, and personalisation strategies
  • Strong analytical capability with confidence interpreting campaign and revenue data
  • Excellent written communication skills, including drafting compliant promotional T&Cs
  • High attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset
  • Experience operating in regulated markets (South African market exposure highly advantageous)
  • Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is beneficial
Additional Information
  • Cape Town-based role within a newly established local hub
  • Discretionary company performance bonus
  • 21 days annual leave
  • Collaborative, performance driven office culture
  • Long term career progression within a growing international iGaming business

If you are a CRM professional who wants true ownership, commercial accountability, and the opportunity to shape how an international operator wins in South Africa, we would love to tell you more.
