Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the General Engineering Supervisor.
  • Account for planning, coordinating, leading, and controlling resources to ensure safe and optimum production through quality maintenance and application of engineering practices.
  • Conduct daily maintenance tasks (scheduled and unscheduled), inspections and reporting on daily section performance.
  • Assisting Artisans with installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment according to standards.
  • Production targets, compliance with company's HSEC system is essential.
  • Compliance to the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements.
  • Ensuring implementation of Management decisions, legal requirements, and company standards/policies.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • N2 (Full four subjects one being theory)
  • Relevant Trade Certificate (Boilermaker/Fitter/Electrical)
  • Five (5) years technical experience post trade
  • Medically fit to work underground and surface
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP)
  • Valid driver's license
