Conversion Specialist

We're excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Conversion Specialist to join us at our Durban Seafreight Office.

• Grade 12 Certificate
• FIATA Diploma or equivalent 3-year freight forwarding qualification

• Minimum - 5 years' experience in the freight forwarding
• Strong understanding of applicable laws; regulations and other government requirements.
• Results-oriented with the drive to grow an international ocean freight forwarding business.
• Experience participating in the creation of strategic growth initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach.

• Customer service orientation - able to handle a demanding customer environment.
• Dynamic self-starter that works independently and can handle pressure.

The Conversion Specialist will be support to KAM's/OPS with conversations

• Analysing current CFR shipments
• Comparing the cost difference between CFR & FOB
• Reporting on progress, savings and exceptions

Incoterm Conversion Strategy

• Review current CFR shipments to identify lanes suitable for FOB conversion.
• Work with procurement, sales and servicing
• To provide market intelligence/analysis, latest trends and challenges
• Carrier Knowledge and routings
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Good Communications skills (written & verbal)
• Provide national support on Röhlig- Grindrod's for Growth conversion uncontrolled volumes strategy and The Good to Great Strategy.
