Control Industrial Technician (agriculture/civil)

SalaryL10 R 561,894.00 per annum, plus the 37% in lieu of benefits.
ContractFixed term contract - 3 Years.

Minimum Requirements- Grade 12, National Diploma inAgriculture/Building/Civil Engineering plus
- Three years' relevant experience working in agricultural / building / civil engineering or construction industry,
- At least one year experience should have worked at water delivery environment,
- Valid driver's licence code 8 or higher,
Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician and proof thereof will be advantageous.

- Understand Water Act, 1998, Agricultural Production Standards Act, 1990, Engineering Professional Act, 2000, Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, 1983 and Labour Relations Act.

- To provide leadership and support by applying engineering principles and address technical challenges,
- To manage planning, design, implementation of engineering projects and new systems to solve problems, improve efficiency in one or more of the following fields of agricultural infrastructure: irrigation & water supply pump stations; mechanization; farm structures; animal handling facilities; food processing and energy,
- Implementation of cost-effective solutions according to Agribusiness, Development agency (ADA) standards. Develop design manuals, standard drawings and procedures,
- Promotion of safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements,
- Preparing presentation and reports of implementation of projects,
- Reporting on service delivery and adherence to administrative procedures and regulations,
- Self-development in terms of keeping up to date with new technologies and procedures,
- Monitoring and supervision of projects from different service providers under Agribusiness Development agency (ADA).
- Adhoc duties required by the incumbent's supervisor.
