Job Description

NUTRI Feeds is one of the leaders in the manufacturing of animal feed in South Africa. We are also a world player and the first choice in animal feeds for poultry, pigs, sheep, dairy and beef cattle. The following vacancy exists within the Maintenance department at NUTRI FEEDS.

  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or management related field
  • Experience in working on Pragma, Power Star and Finnivo will be advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of business process analysis
  • Strong understanding of safety, health and equipment management
  • Valid drivers licence and reliable transport
  • Must be willing to travel

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential risks to the company's operations
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified risks
  • Work with other departments to ensure that risk management and internal audit are integrated into all aspects of the business
  • Analyse and improve operational and asset management processes
  • Ensure implementation, compliance and continuous improvement of Pragma AMIP framework
  • Track production losses and high maintenance cost assets
  • Develop profit improvement initiatives
  • Develop, implement and monitor OEE and KPI reporting models
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive loss elimination initiatives
  • Identify training needs and facilitate in-house training
  • Support operations and maintenance teams with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Compile and submit sustainability and environmental performance reports
  • Conduct maintenance and environmental audits
  • Participate in new installations, equipment evaluations and project development
  • Produce monthly benchmarking reports covering OEE, downtime, energy usage, and maintenance cost per ton.
