Working Directly with the Design & Build team both locally and internationally, alongside the Design & Creative Lead, overseen by Head of Design, to bring the KOFISI vision, through our spaces, to life. Focusing on a wide range of conceptual and technical skills such as Research & Development, Concept Planning, Storytelling, User Experience Journeys, Space planning, Presentations and Technical Drawings. Administrative, everyday responsibilities will be required such as being organized, taking meeting minutes and representing the Concept Team in meetings.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand project requirements & briefing.
  • Research and Development. Unpacking and researching project context, location, trends, materiality, industry-relevant influences, design styles and other inspiring works.
  • Assistance in space planning & test fit proposals for Client spaces and for KOFISI spaces.
  • Zoning, bubble diagrams and space schematics, to study the user-experience of the layout.
  • Ability to understand and formulate design concepts and present for discussions.
  • Create look & feels and visually be able to articulate this by presentation.
  • Conceptual storytelling, having the ability to unpack a narrative for a building or space through a strong concept.
  • Presenting effectively and putting together a Presentation Document visually.
  • Assist with full drawing packs for construction.
  • Technical drawings including joinery.
  • MEP co-ordination and being able to communicate with specialists.
  • Use of excel to understand and interpret briefs.
  • Represent the Concept Design Team, by taking meetings and showing organized skills by taking meeting minutes.
  • Work with 3D artists to produce realistic renders.
  • Understand ergonomics and how people use and interact with spaces.
  • Bring new ideas into the brand, by looking at the international and industry standards.
  • Set and achieve deliverable deadlines and give regular updates on progress.
  • Clear Communication with team leaders and members, and be presentable to the team and the company.
  • Work with other departments, to ensure communication across teams is clear, to formulate accurate briefs.
Requirements
  • Min 2-3 years of experience in the Interior Design industry (preferably hospitality or commercial design).
  • Strong interest in conceptual design, ideation of new spaces, storytelling and user-experience.
  • Space planning, bubble-diagrams (space schematics and understanding of flow) space planning, tender drawings, construction drawings, joinery drawings, client liaison, MEP co-ordination and on-site liaison.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Ability to read & interpret architectural, engineering and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving and creative solution skills.
  • Works well under pressure and can multi-task.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision but is also a team player.
  • Strong time management.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Approachable, reliable and assertive.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects as necessary.
