CONCENTRATES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Woodlands Dairy is seeking for a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the efficient operation of our cheese, butter, milk powder, and Amasi production facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, plant optimization, and rapid fault finding across a wide range of dairy processing equipment. This role requires a hands on individual with strong technical competence in both mechanical and electrical systems and a solid understanding of automated food manufacturing environments.

Key Performance Areas:
  • Execute scheduled and planned preventative maintenance tasks as generated through the Pragma CMMS.
  • Accurately capture job cards, maintenance findings, parts usage, and technical feedback in the system.
  • Assist in backlog management, asset condition assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform repairs and component replacements to OEM and plant standards.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain control systems, motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, CIP 3.
  • Identify recurring faults and recommend long term engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Attend training sessions to remain updated on processing technologies and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Trade Tested).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an automated food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic instrumentation systems.
  • PLC fault finding basics (Allen Bradley - advantage).
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulatory standards.
  • Advantageous Experience- candidates with prior experience in dairy processing will have a strong advantage
