Commercial Partnerships & Media Trading Manager

Department: Operations

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Location: Remote-first role with one in-office collaboration day per week in Sandton, Johannesburg.

We are looking for a commercial deal maker - someone comfortable negotiating high-value partnerships and structuring creative agreements.

Candidates from financial trading, commercial property brokerage, commodity trading, vehicle fleet sales, or other high-value negotiation environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

You do not need prior media experience. What matters far more is your ability to assess value, negotiate confidently, and structure deals that benefit all parties. Media is simply the asset we trade, and you will learn the industry quickly with the support of our team.

Job Objective

As the Commercial Partnerships & Media Trading Manager, your primary focus will be to negotiate high-value media deals and expand Green Media's network of media partners. You will work closely with our sales and operations teams to structure strategic deals that allow brands to amplify their marketing budgets by up to 700% using our unique barter platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and Secure Media Deals - Lead negotiations with media partners to secure high-value advertising placements and structure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Expand the Media Partner Network - Identify and onboard new media partners across television, radio, digital, outdoor and print platforms.
  • Develop Strategic Media Solutions - Work with internal teams to structure media plans that convert unsold products into powerful advertising campaigns.
  • Build Long-Term Partnerships - Establish and maintain strong commercial relationships with media partners.
  • Collaborate Across Teams - Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution and successful campaign delivery.
  • Ensure Campaign Execution - Monitor campaigns to ensure placements run as agreed and deliver the expected value for clients.
  • Performance Tracking - Track deal performance and ensure campaigns meet agreed KPIs and expectations.

Mission: Drive Green Media's growth by negotiating high-value partnerships, expanding our media network, and ensuring seamless campaign execution.

  • Quarterly Negotiated Value - Secure R25 million+ in advertising value per quarter through strategic barter deals.
  • Partnership Expansion - Onboard at least 10 new media partners each quarter.
  • Deal Conversion Rate - Maintain a 75%+ conversion rate on qualified opportunities.
  • Partner Satisfaction - Achieve 90%+ satisfaction levels with media partners and clients.

Qualifications & Experience

We welcome candidates with experience in:

  • Financial trading or stockbroking
  • Commercial property brokerage
  • Commodity trading or wholesale distribution
  • Vehicle fleet or high-value asset sales
  • Media or advertising sales

Candidates should have 7+ years of experience negotiating high-value commercial deals and a strong track record of closing partnerships.

Media experience is helpful but not required.
