Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Participate in improving system monitoring tools and processes (VMWare, Datacore, Google Cloud Platform), ensuring their relevance with respect to service availability and reliability objectives.
- Develop the necessary tools for alerts in case of problems, define thresholds and indicators based on service impact (SLO), and implement reaction, escalation, and information processes. Participation in a weekend on call duty to cover additional time slots.
- Analyse incidents and malfunctions with a structured feedback approach to enable better resolution responsiveness and better prevention, by mastering the key tools of production infrastructures. Propose improvements in monitoring and supervision procedures.
- Participate in the improvement of information systems by working on Cloud improvement and project initiatives (Google Cloud Platform) and network infrastructures to optimise projects and bring insight into resilience, robustness, and service continuity.
- Participate in drafting documentation and DRP/BCP, and in defining service objectives (availability, recovery time) for production environments.
- In connection with the CIO, act as the on site reference for implementing cybersecurity policies applicable to the equipment and methods used internally, as well as for server and workstation administration.
- In the context of the company's growth, be the reference for service architecture and reliability, ensure an expert and escalation role during major incidents as part of on call duties, and contribute to structuring and upskilling a team that is expected to expand.
A successful Cloud DevOps Architect should have:
- Strong knowledge of system administration (Windows, Linux) and networks (TCP/IP, VPN, firewall, switch, router).
- Mastery of supervision and monitoring tools (manipulation and development of plugins under NAGIOS in Perl or Python).
- Good knowledge of virtualisation environments (VMWare, Google Compute Engine, Docker) as well as storage virtualisation (DATACORE).
- IT background (Professional bachelor's degree, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in supervision or production system and network support.
- Availability to work on weekend on call duty (fixed schedule or rotating basis).
