Junior PreparatoryThe Junior Preparatory is known as the Gateway to St Stithians College as it marks both the start of the exciting fifteen year journey through Saints, and the beginning of formal education. Our school offers a nurturing, co ed environment for Grades RRR, RR, R, 1 and 2, after which our boys and girls move onto the Boys' Preparatory and Girls' Preparatory respectively.
Classroom Teacher AssistantThe College invites applications for the abovementioned position, which will be available from 01 May 2026, negotiable.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.
Requirements- To facilitate small group activities under the direction of the class teacher.
- To assist the class teacher with classroom duties within the Junior Prep and the setting up of indoor and outdoor activities.
- A willingness to assist in the Aftercare programme.
- Proficiency in the use of technology.
- Qualification in Teaching is advantageous.
- A passion for the physical care and careful supervision of young children.
- Excellent people and organisational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and to act decisively.
- An unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team.
- A willingness to ensure that diversity and inclusion is fundamental to all actions.
- A willingness to work within the values, Methodist Christian ethos and mission of the College as well as participation in the broader life of the school.
- A sexual offender's clearance certificate and First Aid certificate.
