The Alice Springs Steiner School is seeking a creative, committed, and enthusiastic Class 1 Teacher to join our team in 2026. Located on Arrernte Country, just 10 minutes from Mparntwe/Alice Springs, we offer a unique opportunity to teach in a culturally rich, nature-connected environment with strong collegial support.

Position: Full-time, 3-year teaching commitment (with potential to continue through to Class 7)

Salary: $92,215 - $131,349 (based on experience)

Start Date: January 2026

About the Role

As a Class 1 Teacher, you'll:

Take academic and pastoral care of a primary class.

Deliver lessons aligned with the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework.

Be supported by experienced assistants and a Learning Support Coordinator.

Engage deeply in Steiner pedagogy and professional development.

Prepare for and participate in seasonal festivals, artistic work, and class activities.
