An established and rapidly expanding group based in Durbanville is seeking a sharp, commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. The business is involved in large-scale development and is building out a wood and furniture manufacturing capability to support these projects internally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CIMA-qualified accountant who enjoys being close to operations and working within a hands on manufacturing environment where cost control, production efficiency and financial insight directly impact business performance.

You will work closely with operational leadership to ensure the manufacturing operation runs efficiently, with accurate cost visibility and strong financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of management accounts for the manufacturing division
  • Development and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product cost structures
  • Product costing, variance analysis and margin analysis across production lines
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and rolling financial projections
  • Monitoring production costs, raw material usage and labour efficiencies
  • Providing commercial insights to operations and production management
  • Supporting inventory management and stock valuation processes
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation
  • Establishing financial controls and reporting frameworks for the manufacturing unit
  • Working closely with leadership to support strategic decision making as the manufacturing business scales
Requirements
  • CIMA qualified ACMA, CGMA (or nearing completion)
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong exposure to:
  • Cost accounting
  • Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Product costing
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Inventory and stock controls
Highly advantageous
  • Experience within furniture, wood manufacturing, cabinetry, or similar production environments
