Yabonga seeks to appoint a qualified Child and Youth Care Worker. This person will be responsible for assisting in our Khayelitsha, Cape Town area facility.

• Do home / child and family assessments of Yabonga beneficiaries
• Must be able to work 7 days stay-in

• Child and Youth Care worker qualification.
• Know and understand the DSD Risiha programme.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience as CYCW post qualification.
• Experience with children and understanding of Children's Act 38 of 2005.
• Ability to speak English and IsiXhosa, and write detailed reports in both.
• Able to identify challenges.
• Well presented, punctual and strong commitment.
• Must have a great interest in community and child development.
• Ability to network.
• Highly flexible and ability to work in a demanding environment.
• Problem solving capabilities.
• High work ethic.
• Comfortable working in and around the Khayelitsha area.
• Valid driver's license and be able to drive.
