Job Title: Candidate Sourcer

Location: Remote , South Africa / UK-based working hours

Working Hours:

Standard: 8:00 - 5:00 UK time

School Holidays: 8:00 - 3:00 UK time

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Candidate Sourcer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in recruitment sourcing or research, ideally within the education, healthcare, or public services sector. You will play a pivotal role in building talent pipelines, engaging candidates, and ensuring schools have access to the right teachers at the right time.

This is not just a sourcing role - it's a chance to make a real impact by shaping candidate experiences, driving innovative sourcing campaigns, and ensuring talent availability meets demand across multiple boroughs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post and manage engaging job ads and source target candidates each school term.
  • Build and maintain active, high-quality Talent Pools tailored to local school requirements.
  • Ensure 100% completion of candidate compliance checks and accurate candidate scoring.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand role requirements and adapt sourcing strategies.
  • Proactively refresh and update candidate pipelines to align with hiring forecasts.
  • Conduct market research to anticipate hiring needs and build future-proof Talent Pools.
  • Identify gaps in talent availability and launch creative sourcing campaigns to close them.
  • Build partnerships with training institutions and professional associations.
  • Host and support both digital and local candidate attraction events.
  • Ensure timely candidate contact and communication in line with company guidelines.
  • Prepare for weekly updates, reviews, and appraisals, while managing your sourcing inbox effectively.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years' experience in a recruitment, sourcing, or researcher role (education recruitment experience is highly desired for this role).
  • Experience working with a UK-based company (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of candidate checks, compliance, and talent pooling.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, creative, and innovative approach to candidate attraction and sourcing.
  • Ability to work in line with company competencies, maintaining professionalism and attention to detail at all times.
