Candidate Attorney

SD Law is recruiting a candidate attorney for practical vocational training in a specialist, high-standard South African law firm.

This is not a passive articles position. The successful candidate will be trained in real legal work under supervision: consultations, legal research, drafting, court preparation, client communication, file discipline, matter progression and the commercial realities of running a modern legal practice.

We are looking for a candidate who wants to become an excellent attorney, not merely complete articles. The right person will be intellectually strong, emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, commercially aware, coachable and serious about building a long-term career at SD Law.

We will give preference to candidates who can show either:

• strong academic performance
• documented success in sales, leadership, client-facing work or another measurable high-performance environment

Key requirements:

• LLB completed, or expected to be completed before commencement
• full academic transcript available
• strong writing ability and plain-English communication
• interest in SD Law's practice areas, including family law, divorce, litigation, evicti
