Camp Manager Luxury Safari Lodge Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and guest-focused Camp Manager for a luxury safari lodge based in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys working closely with guests, leading a team, and delivering exceptional lodge experiences in a beautiful wilderness setting.

Position: Live-in

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare personalised welcome and departure notes for guests
  • Check guests in during the day and manage dietary requirements, children and special requests
  • Implement and maintain the lodge's standard operating procedures
  • Host guests throughout the day and assist with any requests following game drives
  • Ensure all guest-facing areas and services consistently meet the lodge's high standards
  • Check and oversee breakfast, lunch and dinner service set-ups
  • Ensure the main lodge area is always tidy, well-presented and styled according to lodge standards
  • Host guests during mealtimes and ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams
  • Work closely with waiters and departmental heads to maintain high service levels
  • Assist in other departments when required to ensure seamless lodge operations
  • Host and coordinate children's activities at the lodge
  • Provide a consistently high level of hospitality and guest service

Knowledge Required
  • Hospitality operations and guest service standards
  • Environmental awareness and appreciation for the natural surroundings
  • Knowledge of the surrounding communities and the country
  • Understanding of company standards and sustainability initiatives
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the hospitality or service industry, particularly in guest facing roles
  • Previous Camp Manager or Safari Host experience advantageous
  • Experience working with children advantageous
