Nestled on the majestic slopes of Cape Town's Table Mountain is our exclusive luxury boutique hotel. At Camissa House, we provide a tranquil sanctuary where the ancient springs of the mountain meet modern luxury. We are looking for a dedicated Butler to join our team who thrives on delivering perfection and will uphold our reputation for world-class service.

The Butler is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, coordinating with departments to fulfill requests, and ensuring a seamless luxury experience. You will be the primary point of contact for our guests, providing personalised service that ranges from managing day plans and reservations to ensuring smooth communication for all transfers. Your role is pivotal in ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable and well-coordinated stay.

What You'll Do:
  • Guest Service & Satisfaction: Welcome and escort guests upon arrival, conduct in-room check-ins, and anticipate guest needs to address them promptly and efficiently.
  • Food & Beverage Service: Familiarise yourself with all offerings to assist guests with menu selections, drink pairings, and dietary requirements, ensuring service is calm, courteous, and perfectly timed.
  • Concierge & Hosting: Provide expert recommendations for local experiences, spa treatments, and activities, while confirming all dinner reservations and daily itineraries.
  • Inventory Management & Team Collaboration: Monitor stock inventory, record guest feedback, and liaise with all departments to ensure guest rooms and facilities remain in pristine condition. Share guest preferences and insights with the team to create personalized experiences that exceed expectations in-room check-ins, and anticipate guest needs to address them promptly and efficiently.
What We're Looking For:
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Butler Training, or Luxury Service Management.
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in luxury hospitality, 5 star boutique hotels, private estates, or high end guest service roles, preferably as a Butler or equivalent.
  • Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) for guest management, basic inventory tracking.
  • Professional, discreet, highly organised, and proactive, with a genuine passion for personalised luxury service.
  • Ability to provide an exceptional wine and beverage service to ensure every guest request is met without delay.
  • Take ownership of inventory management and stock control.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Refined social skills to anticipate guest needs through observation and communicate with professional elegance.
