This senior leadership role is responsible for positioning our business competitively in diverse African markets, securing new revenue opportunities, structuring complex commercial and financial deals, and driving strategic initiatives that strengthen FNB's market share across the continent. Are you someone who can: Strategic Leadership & Market Positioning: Lead the development and execution of the business development strategy for Broader Africa Commercial. Use market intelligence to identify, assess and prioritise new business opportunities across African markets . Position FNB as a competitive and innovative partner to commercial clients across multiple jurisdictions. Business Development & Revenue Growth: Drive acquisition of new clients while growing revenue from existing portfolios. Create tactical plans to support revenue, asset and liability growth across African markets. Identify cross sell opportunities and strengthen long term client relationships. Deal Structuring & Pipeline Management: Oversee the structuring of complex commercial and financial deals. Manage the pipeline of opportunities through strong due diligence, governance and reporting. Customer & Market Experience: Design and deliver customer experience solutions aligned with FNB values and service standards. Ensure seamless customer interaction and support across the value chain Digital, Data & Commercial Enablement: Leverage data, analytics and digital platforms to guide market expansion strategies. Use digital insights to identify opportunities, optimise acquisition funnels and improve ROI. Champion innovation in digital sales, marketing automation and customer engagement. Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership to executive stakeholders. Ensure adherence to business development processes, frameworks, policies and governance. Develop standardised materials, templates and documentation for internal and cross border teams. People Leadership: Build, coach and inspire a high performing business development team. Embed a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement. Support development activities for staff development and capability build You will be an ideal candidate if you have: Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in commerce, Business, Finance or a related field Experience Required 8+ years in business development, commercial strategy, or related fields within financial services. Proven experience in: Market expansion and strategic growth. New business acquisition. Managing key partnerships across multi country environments. Structuring complex deals. Leading cross functional teams.
