What you'll do- Develop and execute growth strategies for underground hard rock equipment, automation, digital solutions, and aftermarket services.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with EPCM firms, contractors, and mining customers to secure long-term partnerships.
- Influence mine design standards and project specifications to ensure Epiroc solutions are integrated from the earliest stages.
- Create tailored value propositions for contractors and mining clients, focusing on fleet optimization, productivity improvements, and lifecycle cost reduction.
- Support contractors in tender preparation and align on fleet standardization, service agreements, and framework contracts.
- Drive strategic account management with measurable growth plans, executive-level engagement, and multi-year agreements.
- Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and new project developments, providing structured market intelligence to management.
- Collaborate internally with Sales, Product Support, Service, and Finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and compliance with governance standards.
- A qualification in the engineering discipline with a degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field being advantageous.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in underground hard rock mining environments coupled with a strong understanding of underground equipment applications.
- Proven commercial and negotiation capabilities.
- Experience working with EPCM firms and mining contractors with an established network within the South African underground mining sector.
- Strategic thinker with business development capability.
- Commercial acumen and financial understanding.
- Strong communicator with influencing skills and high-level relationship management.
- Capable of ongoing underground visits.
- Self-driven and result-oriented with solid credibility in underground mining operations.
- Extensive travel within South Africa and potentially neighbouring countries.
- Regular site visits and executive-level customer engagement.
