Our client is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to join the Durban team,

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily branch operations includingsales, parts, service, and workshop departments.
  • Ensure efficient servicing and maintenance ofearthmoving equipment.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of equipmentand spare parts.
  • Implement and monitor operational policiesand procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards andsafety regulations.
  • Drive sales growth of earthmoving equipment(new and used), parts, and services.
  • Develop and implement branch sales strategiesaligned with company targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships withcontractors, mining houses, construction firms, and plant hire businesses.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activitywithin the region.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annualrevenue and profit targets.
  • Prepare and manage branch budgets.
  • Monitor income statements, expenses, andprofitability.
  • Control operational costs and improvemargins.
  • Ensure effective debtors management and stockcontrol.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage branch staffincluding sales representatives, technicians, and administrative personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implementdevelopment plans.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaintseffectively.
  • Maintain long-term client partnerships inconstruction, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in BusinessManagement, Mechanical Engineering, or similar (advantageous).
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in theearthmoving equipment or heavy machinery industry.
  • At least 3-5 years in a management rolewithin a branch or operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipmentsuch as excavators, loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
  • Experience managing workshop and partsdepartments.
  • Understanding of diesel engines and hydraulicsystems.
  • Knowledge of plant hire, mining, orconstruction industry requirements.
  • Financial acumen including budgeting andprofit & loss management.
