BM (Branch Manager)
Job Description
We are seeking a suitably qualified Branch Manager to oversee all branch functions within a new Lewis store. The ideal candidate needs to take ownership of all branch activities, lead a profitable and sustainable business unit, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Ideal candidates will have solid experience running a store and exposure to managing profit and growth targets within the retail environment. The role is responsible for communicating and driving daily branch operations while ensuring alignment to company goals. This role will drive all people-related issues, customer service, sales, stock, and credit management within the branch.
The above-mentioned vacancy is part of a national recruitment drive and is subject to geographical availability.
The role will:
- Manage, lead, motivate, develop, and empower branch employees to retain a stable, high-performing team.
- Drive sales targets and manage operational efficiencies to maintain a healthy, profitable business.
- Ensure excellent customer service through active involvement in customer interactions.
- Manage and control financial targets within company norms while balancing business risk.
- Maintain and improve customer service, sales performance, stock efficiencies, and credit risk management.
- Minimise stock loss through compliance with security, stock, and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure branch operations comply with relevant regulatory legislation.
- Manage people-related activities including training, mentoring, coaching, and staff development.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Business-related tertiary qualification (advantageous).
- Minimum of 3 years Retail Management experience, preferably in bedding retail.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, motivate, develop, and empower branch staff.
