Associate - Distribution Planner
Job Description
We are currently on a search for an Associate Distribution Planner to join one of South Africa's leading appliances manufacturer. The purpose of the role will be optimising the movement of goods from order planning to customer delivery in the most cost-efficient manner. This entails but not limited to inventory management, route planning, stakeholder coordination, order fulfilment and risk management.
Responsibilities- Planning deliveries from national/regional warehouses to customers thereby
- Optimising transport costs and ensuring sales orders are expedited as per customers' requirements.
- Customer communication on a daily basis
- Ensuring that all dedicated vehicles are fully utilized.
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed timeously.
- Ensuring customer POD's are captured at the relevant NDC/Branch
- Stock counts at financial year-end
- Reporting to Internal and external customers
- Ad hoc administration functions
- Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain.
- 2- 4 Years experience within a supply chain with a focus on Outbound logistics.
- Advanced MS Office experience.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- SAP Experience being a pre-requisite.
