Retina South Africa is the only patient led advocacy and support group for patients with a wide range of retinal conditions. Our goal is to ensure that all South Africans with these conditions have access to appropriate treatments, and to empower people with low vision to be productive members of society through information-sharing, education, training, and counselling.

Job Description

Retina South Africa is seeking a compassionate, dynamic assistant to support one of our valued visually-impaired employees. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within our organisation and the broader community we serve.

  • Duration: One (1) Year Contract Position (with possibility of extension)
  • Location: Based in Edenvale and Germiston
  • Salary: Market related
  • Hours: Full-time (The successful candidate would be required to work weekdays, and some weekends or times outside of business hours for events and functions. Time-Off In Lieu of Overtime will be applicable where necessary.)
  • Out of Town Travel: There may be occasions where travel out of town for events is necessary
Qualifications and Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Exceptional administration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Valid driving license (Must be an active driver)
  • Experience in marketing and managing social media platforms and Graphic Design
  • Above average writing skills in English
  • Proven track record of arranging large events
  • A genuine love for people and a passion for making a difference
  • Desirable:
  • Living in or near Edenvale
