We looking for aASSISTANT MANAGER - SALES & PROCUREMENT M/F based :South Africa

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide the effective and efficient, hands-on management of procurement, inventory, budgeting and sales ensuring uninterrupted plant operations for existing customers, while supporting accurate quotations and price reviews. The role acts as the operational caretaker of current sales and procurement functions, including optimizing day-to-day processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain and/or Logistics
  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related discipline)
  • 3 - 5 years' minimum supply chain experience with 2+ years' minimum supervisory experience required
  • Experience in supply chain and inventory management is essential
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry or manufacturing sector is preferred
DELIVERABLES/KPAs
  • Assisting in preparation of the annual Sales Budget, providing key input information and sales activity trends
  • Monthly Gross Profit analysis which requires numerical understanding of sales vs cost of sales as well as Plan vs Actual
  • Provide input on Debtors, Creditors and Inventory to enable monthly cash-flow and net working capital analysis with Finance.
  • Close monitoring of overdue inventory and resolution of aged stock
  • Ensure timeous completion of month end tasks
  • Monitor ordering cycles across short and long-term horizons, identifying cost and supply risks linked to over or under ordering
  • Handle process from Request for Quotation, preparation of quote and order management
  • Combine material, production and logistics costs to calculate pricing and gross profit for quotations and price reviews.
  • Support customer price reviews, engineering changes, and build changes for existing and new business.
  • Place monthly orders for future material requirements based on forecasts including stock level management
  • Analyse and approve monthly pipeline orders from Sales Coordinators, continuously monitoring to mitigate under/overstocking risks.
  • Calculate effective pricing change points based on customer usage.
  • Supplier and Customer relationship management (communication, need satisfaction, effective partnership)
  • Liaise with internal Stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational facility issues / constraints and customer demand.
  • Manage compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Apply kaizen mindset to identify opportunities for business improvement.
