Job Description

The Assistant Financial Controller will play a key role in managing the Finance Department and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Financial Controller in overseeing the day to day management of the Finance Department.
  • Supervise key accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, and General Ledger.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure appropriate financial controls are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to budgeting processes and cost control initiatives across the property.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Provide guidance to finance team members to ensure high quality work output.
The Successful Applicant
  • A Diploma or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification considered an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of post qualification experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Experience within a large international hotel or resort environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop team members.
  • Strong social skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
