Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Building Manager

Location: Cape Town

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Building Manager to assist in the day-to-day operations of our residential building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the property. The Assistant Building Manager will work closely with the Building Manager to develop and implement plans to enhance the overall functionality and appearance of the property.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair work, including soliciting bids, scheduling contractors, and monitoring progress.
  • Manage building security procedures, including monitoring access control systems, overseeing security staff, and responding to emergencies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing property management policies and procedures.
  • Manage tenant communications and respond to inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of building maintenance, repairs, and expenses.
  • Assist with vendor management.
  • Support the Building Manager in various administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications andExperience:
  • NQF 4 essential
  • 5 years' experience as a property caretaker is essential
  • 3 years' experience in managing maintenance worker
