Oversee and conduct regular asset audits to ensure accurate inventory control, monitoring stocks, flows, and identifying leakage ratios for immediate action. Develop and implement asset protection strategies, including conducting forensic investigations to mitigate fraud, asset misuse, and other risks. Collaborate with internal teams, such as Sales and Operations, to enhance asset recovery processes and provide data-driven insights to improve asset productivity. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including audit outcomes, asset recovery rates, and overall asset management metrics. Analyze customer behaviors and data trends to identify audit triggers and opportunities for continuous process improvements and efficiency gains. Provide training, coaching, and development to the Asset Control team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to meet team and departmental objectives. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of Zero Harm throughout all asset management activities. Asset Recovery and Audit Supervisor Step into a leadership role that protects assets and drives results. To maintain the commercial integrity of CHEP equipment on hire by leading Asset Protection, Asset Recovery and Hire Stock Audit activities including the investigation of internal and external fraudulent or illicit events. The role ensures the effective identification and recovery of assets not on hire, safeguards CHEP's ownership rights, and delivers compliant, timely outcomes through strong team leadership and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Managing of the Hire Stock Audit Team (HSA): The key responsibilities in this area are: - Lead and manage the Hire Stock Audit Team through effective communication, engagement, and performance management. Ensure full compliance with Zero Harm standards, the Brambles Code of Conduct, and all company policies and procedures. Manage all people-related responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and succession planning. Develop team capability through structured training programmes to achieve service level agreements and establish a centre of excellence. Drive continuous improvement by contributing to projects that enhance audit processes, controls, and operational effectiveness. Plan, coordinate, and control national stock counts and support business requirements related to hire stock requests. Oversee audit performance reporting, maintain accurate audit plans, and collaborate with Sales to close audits and escalate unresolved opportunities. Asset Protection: Develop programs to increase awareness of CHEP's South Africa's asset ownerships rights in the market Drive continuous improvement activities Ensure high quality reporting to enable a full understanding of the performance of the portfolio and recoveries opportunities Asset Recovery: Highly active and visible internally and in the marketplace in ceasing illicit activity. Investigate fraud and other illicit customer activity in order to successfully stop the activity and achieve commercial or legal redress. Ensure that investigations are carried out in a proper and professional manner Development of court standard evidence and briefs for legal prosecution/defence of matters arising. To build and maintain an internal culture of trust and awareness such that communication of illicit activities is received by the role. Represent the interests of CHEP in the courts as a professional and credible witness. Strong trust and effective communication network in place with managers and Internal Audit Effective management of multiple ongoing investigations at all times Deal with CHEP's chosen investigators and ensure the level of service received from them is of an appropriate standard Prepare and submit forensic investigation costs and invoices for approval in line with delegated authority. Analysis and report to the Management in respect of investigation cost against budget. Compilation of months performance into Dashboards for Management Review Lead and govern Blue Code and stray asset recovery activities by promoting staff participation, investigating and managing stray equipment and pre legal cases, coordinating internal and external recovery actions, safeguarding CHEP's ownership rights, and reporting recovery performance and opportunities through structured management dashboards. Administrative Tasks: Oversee and report on the Regional Temporary Suspense Account by ensuring weekly review, investigation, and timely clearance of all transactions through Regional Internal Auditors. Manage the Admin10 - Stock Type 10 account by approving movements, monitoring activity through regular reporting, performing monthly reconciliations, and reporting account status and variances to management.
