Asset Integrity Coordinator - Retail page is loaded Asset Integrity Coordinator - Retaillocations: Johannesburg, South Africatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-017426 Role Purpose: The Asset Integrity Coordinator - Retail is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and assuring the integrity of retail fuel and NFR assets across the service station network. The role ensures that inspection, testing, maintenance, and compliance activities are planned, executed, documented, and tracked in line with regulatory requirements and company standards, thereby minimizing safety, environmental, and operational risks. Key responsibilities: Asset Integrity & Inspection Coordination Coordinate inspection, testing, and certification programs for retail fuel assets, including: + Underground and aboveground storage tanks + Fuel pipelines and fittings + Dispensers and forecourt equipment + Leak detection and ATG systems + Electrical Installations Maintain inspection schedules and ensure statutory and internal inspections are completed on time. Integrity Monitoring & Compliance Monitor asset condition and integrity performance across retail sites. Track compliance with petroleum regulations, environmental requirements, and company standards. Identify integrity risks, overdue inspections, and non-compliances, and escalate as required. Support regulatory inspections and audits. Maintenance & Defect Management Log, track, and follow up on integrity-related defects, leaks, and failures. Ensure corrective actions are assigned, completed, and verified. Support root-cause analysis for integrity incidents and recurring defects Documentation & Data Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset registers, inspection records, certificates, and drawings. Update integrity data in CMMS/EAM or asset management systems. Prepare integrity reports, dashboards, and compliance summaries. HSE & Environmental Protection Support implementation of spill prevention, leak detection, and environmental protection measures. Participate in incident investigations related to leaks, spills, or asset failures. Promote compliance with safe work practices and permit-to-work requirements. Contractor & Vendor Coordination Coordinate inspection and testing contractors and specialist service providers. Verify contractor competency, certifications, and deliverables. Monitor contractor performance against agreed scopes and standards Continuous Improvement & Awareness Support improvements in asset integrity processes, inspection techniques, and data quality. Assist in rolling out standardized integrity checklists and procedures. Raise awareness of asset integrity risks among retail operations teams. Requirements: Education Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical , Civil Engineering, or Technical Discipline Asset integrity, inspection, or HSE certification (advantageous) Experience 3-7 years' experience in downstream fuel retail, oil & gas, or industrial asset management Hands-on exposure to fuel storage, dispensing systems, and inspections Experience working in African operational environments preferred Technical Skills Retail fuel station equipment and systems Asset integrity and inspection practices CMMS/EAM systems and reporting HSE and environmental compliance basics Contractor coordination and documentation control Behavioural & Competency Requirements High attention to detail and compliance mindset Strong organizational and coordination skills Safety-conscious and risk-aware approach Ability to work across multiple sites and teams Clear communication and reporting skills Willingness to travel regularly to retail sites Working Conditions Frequent site visits to retail fuel stations Exposure to forecourt and underground fuel infrastructure Office-based reporting and coordination work
