Assessment Officer
Job Description
This position is responsible for the administration of written and e-assessments. The incumbent will also be responsible for authoring of e-assessments, administration, organisation and smooth running of examinations and assessments at the ATA.
- Manage the examination preparation process.
- Administer all ATA examinations, i.e., written and e-assessments.
- Schedule assessments on the e-assessment platform.
- Receive and file assessment request forms (FORM 63) for both written and e-assessments.
- Provide new students with induction on the ATA examinations rules and regulations.
- Invigilate both written and e-assessments.
- Provide training for new invigilators.
- Provide Course Leaders/ exam markers with the model answer memorandum.
- Receive and store all examination papers in the exam strong room as they are received from the Subject Mater Experts (SMEs) and be responsible for all examination stationery.
- Ensure proper strong room management for the safekeeping of question papers and scripts.
- Assist in the preparation for and organisation of all exams in accordance with procedure AT005.
- Liaise with external examination bodies, where necessary, regarding the administration of their examinations and assessments.
- Attend the training of examination administration and ensure that confidentiality agreements are signed and filed.
- Benchmark assessment practices and make inputs and submission for the updates on the examination and assessments policies.
- Receive questions banks for both Air Traffic Services and Engineering Training examinations for capturing from MQA&A.
- Author ATS and ET examinations on the e-assessment platform.
- Maintain and review ATA assessment policies.
- Ensure that all question banks administered are moderated and approved for delivery.
- Ensure the integrity of tests, exams, assessments, and results.
- Ensure the quality and standards of assessment practices.
- Quality assures the printing of examinations and assessments.
- Maintain the exam requests file and memo control sheet register.
- Liaise with Training Delivery to ensure that all scheduled exams and assessments are ready to be administered.
- Report all exam irregularities and misconduct to the MQA&A and MATST/MET&S.
- National Diploma education or equivalent qualification.
- Computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the administration of examinations and assessments.
