Artisan Drill Rig Mechanic - Wessels Mine

This is a permanent full-time position. As a Drill Rig Mechanic you will be responsible for timely installation, repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure mining activities are executed safely, operating equipment and testing all working parts in the functional area to ensure proper utilisation.

• Interpret and coordinate pre-work with regards to repairs, interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, planned and predictive maintenance;
• Access any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on machines or equipment;
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and assess risks on equipment;
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite;
• Ensure the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment;
• Coordinate activities associated with troubleshooting and repairing maintenance equipment.

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum of 2 years' technical experience on Underground Mining Equipment (Atlas Copco 282 rocket Boomer & Boltec 235H, Epiroc Boomer S2, Normet Scamec 2000S).

• Grade 12;
• N2 Technical Certificate;
• Valid driver's license.
