Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple restaurants within the assigned region

  • Ensure consistent execution of company operational standards and procedures

  • Monitor overall restaurant performance and implement improvements where necessary

  • Identify underperforming restaurants and execute corrective action plans to improve performance and profitability

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and implement relevant innovations

2. Compliance & Standards

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to operational standards

  • Work closely with internal audit teams to maintain and improve audit scores

  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and relevant legislation

  • Implement corrective actions where compliance standards are not met

3. Financial & Reporting

  • Monitor restaurant financial performance, including P& L management

  • Ensure adherence to budgets, financial policies, and operational processes

  • Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Support General Managers in achieving financial targets and improving profitability

  • Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports within required deadlines

4. Leadership & People Management

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to restaurant management teams

  • Drive employee engagement and maintain high team morale across all locations

  • Manage employee relations in line with company policies and procedures

  • Ensure effective workforce planning and labour cost management

  • Oversee training, development, and succession planning for restaurant teams

Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience in a multi-unit or area management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry

  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and performance metrics

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and improve P& L performance

  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple locations effectively

  • Strong reporting and analytical skills

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the KZN region
