Job Description

Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking

Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, 5 Simmonds Street

To define, develop, and maintain domain architectures and designs for specific business functional/technical areas. Provide high-level roadmaps for solution implementation, aligning with a common technical direction to ensure the accomplishment of these roadmaps. Guide architects working on projects/initiatives within the focus area (domain) and offer thought leadership throughout the program.

Experience Required:

Enterprise Technology & Solutions Architecture

Technology Skills:

  • Functional understanding of SAP Banking Services and/or Fioneer S/4 TRBK
  • Understanding of the foundational SAP S/4 HANA architecture
  • Some experience (or understanding) in ABAP development, including ABAP Cloud development framework and ABAP RAP
  • Experience in designing Web Services (SOAP) and REST APIs (including OData)
  • Understanding Core Banking Architectures within the larger Banking Application Landscape
  • Focus on SAP Core Banking
  • Strong Software Engineering and Design experience
  • Ability to define technical roadmaps

Experience Levels:

  • 5-7 years: Good understanding of Agile practices, LEAN, SCRUM, and collaboration across teams. Experience in managing platforms and operating systems.
  • 8-10 years: In-depth experience in designing innovative solutions in technology businesses, including Authentication Systems, System/Platform/Account Migrations, Enterprise Solution Architecture (ESA), Business Architecture, Information Architecture, Application Architecture, or Technology Architecture, with a balanced mix of technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • 8-10 years: Work experience in areas such as IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, engineering, software architecture design, business analysis, DevOps, project, and product management.
