Apprentice Educational Teaching Assistant

April 2026 - 15 Months + EPA

32.5 hours per week term-time only

Salary - £11.93 per hour

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Apprentice to work with an experienced team to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes to become a successful Educational Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant across school, whose main responsibilities will be in teaching phonics and conducting reading interventions, and for which all training will be given. Additionally, there will be a requirement to provide activity support on a lunchtime.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is educated to GCSE standard (English and Maths grade 4 or above) or equivalent
  • is able to demonstrate an aptitude for the skills taught in the Apprenticeship
  • works well within a team, is keen to share ideas and happy to take advice from colleagues and specialist staff
  • is caring, friendly and hardworking
