Application Scientist
Job Description
The Flavor Application Technologist position performs flavor application of sweet, beverage, confectionery and savory products. In this role, you will work closely with international technical teams, and understand the key features and benefits of Sensient's flavor portfolio.
What you'll do:
- Responsible for flavor and some color application activities and support Sensient technical resources
- Create and develop application formulations, and optimize according to customer needs
- Assist in flavor technical application discussions with customers and Sales Account Managers using the various technical information tools available
- Recommend optimal product selection based on customers desired target markets and associated regulatory requirements
Support communications between the customer and Sensient's Regulatory department
- Prepare project reports, sample reports, and lab work reports
What you'll bring:
- University degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related scientific discipline or equivalent
- Solid experience in flavor application with an emphasis on sweet/savory and beverage related food products
- Ability to manage a project and have lab analytical skills would be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and report accurately
- Very good English language skills (fluent in spoken and written), other additional language proficiencies are an advantage
