Ampath Phlebotomy Technician Learnerships 2027 (HWSETA-Funded)

Ampath Laboratories invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Phlebotomy Technician Learnership Programme 2027.

This HWSETA-funded learnership is a full-time training programme designed to prepare learners for a career as a Phlebotomy Technician.

The programme combines online learning and practical workplace training at Ampath Care Centres, providing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

• Training Format: Online + In-person (Monday to Friday)
• Funding: Fully funded by HWSETA and Ampath

• Practical experience in blood collection and laboratory procedures
• Exposure to healthcare and diagnostic services
• Professional training aligned with industry standards
• Eligibility for HPCSA registration as a Phlebotomy Technician
• Must be under 35 years old
• Must have Matric with at least 60% in:
  • Pure Mathematics
  • Life Sciences / Biology
  • English
• Must NOT have qualifications above NQF Level 4
• Must have a smartphone/device with stable internet access
• Full-time training (no other employment allowed)
• Online theoretical classes
• Practical training at Ampath Care Centres
• Workplace exposure in healthcare environments

• Final selection based on performance and availability

• Acceptance depends on HWSETA funding approval
