Job Description

Western Cape area - South Africa: The ideal candidate will be someone who has strong relationships with growers in the Western province.

Minimum Requirements
  • Agricultural degree/diploma or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in working with growers and packhouse
  • Must have relevant experience in procurement of Apple and Pear.
  • Must be willing to travel
Duties Include but Are Not Limited To
  • Sourcing Apple and Pear
  • Identify, Contract-with & supervise local farmers to source high-quality fruits
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of produce to meet company standards
  • Packhouse Coordination
  • Identify suitable pack houses for packing and storing the sourced fruits
  • Engage with packhouse management to ensure compliance with packaging standards and timelines
  • Oversee the packing process to ensure fruits are packed correctly and efficiently without any wastage.
  • Shipping and Logistics
  • Ensure the shipping of packed fruits to India and other overseas markets at the most competitive rates
  • Work with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation
  • Oversee and manage export documentation and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
