Aftermarket Supervisor

Location: South Africa

The purpose of this position is to provide accurate and reliable administrative support to the Aftermarket Managers; to analyse, control and supervise all aspects of Aftermarket department administrative policies and practices, to implement and uphold actions in line with company strategic objectives, to maximise efficiency and ensure the department operates according to set targets and operational requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage team efforts and process of closing jobs to ensure WIP remains within acceptable parameters; check with controllers why older jobs remain open; assist in closing jobs and continuously improve WIP processes.
  • Act as overall contact for the debtor's department - receive, distribute to foremen/product support engineers and follow up on debtor queries and requests; prepare and submit feedback to the debtor's department and Aftermarket Managers.
  • Assist Aftermarket Managers to manage department creditors in line with company policy: check reconciliations for outstanding invoices, follow up, clear purchase awaiting invoices report.
  • Monitor labour sales per technician; ensure labour recovery data is captured and input daily by controllers to provide accurate information at all times.
  • Analyse and identify loss making Aftermarket contracts; escalates these for the Aftermarket Manager's attention.
  • Ensure warranty claims process is done accurately and submitted time wise; track and manage warranty claims recovery; drive product support engineers on this matter.
  • Assist Aftermarket Managers, Product Support Engineers / Foremen and Controllers to ensure quality of service regarding fleet Aftermarket; evaluate controllers and other administrative staff development needs, provide on the job training and development of controllers and other administrative staff.
  • Ensure all administrative functions are in place and followed; prepare and distribute scheduled (monthly, weekly and daily) reports.
