Admission Clerk
Job Description
A position has become available for a committed individual to join Life Groenkloof Hospital as an Admission Clerk, reporting to the Reception Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Accurately record all admissions of patients to the hospital.
- Carry out accurate admission and receptionist duties for the hospital.
- Perform general administration duties involved in the admission of patients.
- File and assist with billing of accounts.
- Admit patients onto Impilo.
- Operate the switchboard.
- Handle money.
- Liaise with medical aids to obtain authorisation for admission.
- Matric Certificate required.
- Previous experience working with Impilo and IMEDS is an advantage.
- Must be computer literate and have excellent typing skills.
- Fully bilingual and have good communication skills; reliable, motivated, committed and hardworking.
- Ability to work under pressure and be professional and polite at all times.
- Accurate handling of cash and trustworthy (ITC check will be performed).
- Must be figure oriented with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in the medical field is an advantage.
