Job Description

To develop, support and maintain the BCX Total Reward strategy and associated governance, aligned to BCX Reward policies and processes.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of the BCX Total Reward framework and ensure adherence to internal Reward governance processes.
  • Contribute to the realisation of Talent Acquisition, Management and Optimisation strategies, through the design of innovative Reward programmes, with support from the Executive: Reward, where required.
  • Ensure compliance and alignment to BCX Reward policies and processes, and Group Reward policies and processes, where applicable.
  • Support and manage the rollout of Reward Analytics frameworks to assess the performance and impact of the Reward and Performance function.
  • Evaluate and report upon relevant Reward performance metrics, embedded in the Analytics framework, to provide recommendations and solutions that enable proactive course correction and/or optimisation, with respect to Reward imperatives.
  • Support the submission of annual and ad-hoc remuneration surveys, leveraging data therefrom to draw upon general market / industry specific insights and provide recommendations relating to salary structuring and incentive design, to attract and retain top Talent.
  • Provide Reward specific training to People Partners and Line Managers across BCX, regarding process, practices, and methodologies.
  • Provide remuneration guidance and support, across the Remuneration value chain, to People Partners during annual salary increase, performance bonus and new hire cycles, to empower them to make informed Remuneration decisions.
  • Provide specialist consultative guidance, where required, to BU employees on queries pertaining to the Total Reward offering.
  • Support the review of Guaranteed Pay and Variable Pay imperatives to ensure BCX pays competitively in the market, while being cognisant of managing excessive employee staff costs.
  • Research and benchmark Reward trends by analysing leading-edge thought leadership and remuneration data to develop insights that shape innovative Reward solutions, thus optimising the employee experience.
  • Remain responsive to Reward audit and compliance requests, by ensuring that all processes, data, and audit trails remain transparent, up-to-date and can withstand scrutiny.

Minimum Qualifications

NQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma

Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage Experience

Minimum 2 Years' Experience in a Total Reward or Employee Benefits environment, within a large organisation

Certifications
  • WorldAtWork Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • WorldAtWork Global Remuneration Professional (GRP
Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
  • SARA - South African Reward Association
Level of Engagement & Span of Control Special Requirements / Employment Condition
  • Understanding of Payroll Analytics
  • Understanding of Taxation and how this is applied in a South African context at different pay ranges
  • Good knowledge and understanding of South African legislation that impacts upon Reward (i.e., Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value).
  • Knowledge of Pay Structure Design and Structuring
  • Experience in the administration and management of Bonus and Variable Pay constructs
  • Experience with compliance and statutory reporting is advantageous
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Willing to travel
