Job Description

Main purpose of the position:
Effective handling of all administration with regards to the Crop Insurance Department.
Requirements:
- Grade 12;
- FAIS Accreditation (NQF5 & RE5) completed;
- At least 2 - 3 years' experience in a crop insurance environment;
- Experiene relating to short term insurance specific software will be an advantage;
- Experience in building relationships with stakeholders;
- Valid drivers license.
Skills:
- Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
- Strong numerical skills/Accounting background or exposure;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Logical approach to problem solving;
- Good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the administrative function;
- Monthly reporting including crop summary reports and directors' reports;
- Checking and ensuring compliance regarding insurance policies and procedures;
- Monitor and control quotation processes and claims function;
- Responsible for premium payments and timeous management and allocation of claims monies;
- Liaison with Insurers, including underwriting queries and claims settlement;
- Supervise and problem solving of admin function
