Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented finance graduate who enjoys working with numbers, analysing data, and solving discrepancies? A security consulting company is looking for an Accounting Graduate to join their team in a unique role that combines core bookkeeping responsibilities with exposure to structured investigations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in financial administration while developing analytical and investigative skills. The ideal candidate is organised, persistent, discreet, and comfortable handling sensitive financial information with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients to secure payment

Review and reconcile ageing reports to ensure account accuracy

Investigate and resolve billing disputes and credit discrepancies

Maintain accurate records of all collections and financial communications

Assist with expenditure control, invoice filing, and matching transactions to bank statements

Manage petty cash and support monthly reconciliations

Prepare clear reports on collections, payments, and expenditure tracking

Assist senior investigators with preparing and organising evidence files

Support eDiscovery processes by searching digital data for relevant information

Digitise and organise documentation

Review bank statements and assist with analysing inter-account transfers

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Previous exposure to bookkeeping, credit control, or accounts administration (internship experience welcomed)
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • High levels of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Exposure to both finance and investigative processes
  • Practical experience that builds strong commercial and analytical capability
