OverviewJoin the Harvard House team as a Supervisor in the Accounting and Tax Department. What You'll Be Responsible For- Leading, developing and mentoring staff
- Allocating clients, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met
- Monitoring and updating internal control lists
- Providing hands on technical guidance and training
- Conducting performance reviews with staff
- Attending to various staff and client queries, which may include researching technical topics and presenting practical solutions
- Managing SARS queries, including visits to SARS when required
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including attending client meetings
- On boarding new clients and completing related admin
- Reviewing:
- Monthly VAT submissions
- Annual Financial statements (trusts, CCs, companies and independent reviews)
- Individual and corporate tax returns
- Working overtime during peak periods
- Newly qualified CA(SA), or eligible to register as a CA(SA)
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong digital proficiency and ability to quickly adapt to new software tools
- In depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines
- Analytical thinking and strong problem solving skills
