Our client within the Renewable Energy industry servicing East Africa is seeking an Accountant to join the team as soon as possible.

You will work from home until they establish offices in Cape Town.

This position forms part of a Finance Shared Services team providing services to entities operating out of other countries including Mauritius (MR) and Tanzania (TZ).

  • Monthly closing and preparation of Management and Financial accounts - SA & MR
  • Monthly comparisons to budget to maintain a focus on minimizing costs and improving efficiency
  • First level review of TZ Management and Financial accounts
  • Coordinate the Budget preparation - SA & MR - with first level reviews for TZ
  • Vendor payment preparation for SA & MR
  • Cashflow forecast preparation for SA and MR, and weekly review for TZ
  • Overall audit management for SA & MR
  • Chart of Accounts control within Zoho ensuring uniformity across all entities
  • Monthly General Ledger reconciliations for SA & MR and review for TZ
  • Ensure that all financial transactions comply with IFRS and the relevant country's statutory regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • 5 years' experience
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including IFRS
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like Zoho or similar
  • Robust MS Excel expertise
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
