Accountant (PFMA Specialist) -KZN

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountants with expertise in Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Internal Audit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with PFMA guidelines.

• Manage financial transactions, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial statements
• Conduct internal audits to identify and address weaknesses in financial controls
• Ensure compliance with PFMA regulations and guidelines
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve financial efficiency and transparency
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial reports
• Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies as needed
• Stay informed about changes in PFMA regulations and guidelines and ensure compliance within the organization

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, within government entities (PFMA) and Internal Audit
• Strong knowledge of PFMA regulations and guidelines
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other team members
