Job Description
Our client, a progressive and fast-growing cloud-based accounting firm, is looking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their dynamic team in Port Elizabeth.
The ideal candidate will have a (Acc.) or similar degree, SAIPA or CIMA with completed articles or comparable experience and 1-3 years Xero and/or Sage cloud-based accounting experience essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about modern accounting technology and enjoys working in a client-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients while delivering high-quality outsourced accounting and bookkeeping services.
Minimum Requirements- Accounting degree or similar qualification
- SAIPA or CIMA qualification with completed articles, or equivalent practical experience
- 2-3 years' experience working with cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero and/or Sage
- Strong knowledge of:
- Accounting principles
- Income Tax & Provisional Tax
- PAYE & VAT
- SARS and E-filing
- Experience with the following systems will be advantageous:
- Advanced Excel
- CaseWare
- Syft Analytics
- Sage
- QuickBooks
- Xero
- SimplePay
