Job Description
To assist the technology station in developing medical products through optimal management and craftsmanship. To assist with the day to day running of the PDTS. To ensure that products are designed and manufactured according to ISO 9001 quality management system.
Main tasks- Medical Product Development
- Project Management
- Financial Management
- Quality and Risk Management
- Marketing and Liaison
- Manage Timesheets
- Record Keeping - Project files
- Intern Management
Nature of appointment: Fixed-term Support Services
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed)

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience- B. Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Four (4) years' experience in mechanical engineering.
- Three (3) years' experience in medical product development.
- One (1) year ISO quality management experience.
- M. Tech. or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering.
- Five (5) years' experience in medical product development.
- Registration as Professional Technologist with ECSA.
- Two (2) years' ISO quality management experience.
